Hayfiled Camping and Caravan Club Site, Hayfield, Derbyshire
Just a nice site in a lovely location.
Hayfield is where 500 ramblers set out on the mass trespass up Kinder Scout, Derbyshires highest peak, in 1932.
The site opened in 1975 and is next to Bowden Bridge Quarry, now carpark, where the mass trespass set off.
The River Sett runs along parall to the site and can be followed along the foot path right into Hayfield which as a population of approx 2500, has seven pubs, a couple of shops, a butchers and a chippie.
We stopped there May 11th to May 13th, follow the link to see our review.
